Access and fees, explained.
Who may use a dump station, and what it costs, depends on the operator. This is how we record and label it.
Who can use it
| Non-guests welcome | The operator explicitly allows people who are not staying there, or the public, to use the dump station. This is not a promise that it is open right now. |
|---|---|
| Guests or conditions only | The operator limits use, for example to registered campers, members, customers or local sewer customers. |
| Access rules unconfirmed | The checked source confirms a dump station but does not say who may use it. That is not proof that non-guests are refused. |
| Closed or unavailable | The operator reports the dump service closed, removed, or closed for the season. Fees and hours shown for these stations are normal information, suspended during the closure. |
Fees
Fee not confirmed means the checked source does not publish a dump fee. It never means free.
A station is listed as free only when the operator states there is no dump fee for non-guests or the public, without conditions. A fee waived for registered campers, fuel customers or local sewer customers is shown as an exemption for that group, not as free dumping.
Ranges, “from” prices and conditional fees stay qualified. The “$10 or less” filter only includes a station when its applicable upper amount is known to be $10 or less. Taxes are mentioned only when the operator mentions them.
Fees are dated. After 30 days without a recheck we show the amount as the last published fee and remove it from fee filters until it is checked again.
Hours and seasons
A campground season, park gate, office or store schedule is not the dump station’s schedule. We label those as property hours or seasons. Dump-specific hours appear only when the operator publishes them.
Water
Drinking-water fill and rinse water are separate services and separate filters. We do not combine them into a general “water” label.
